UNIX Technical Lead
June, 2000 - Present Unix Systems Administrator for a network of Defense Department servers running a client/server application for Military Healthcare System (MHS) billing. Tasks included: Creating working servers beginning at Harware assembly and configuration, RAID configuration, etc. I was responsible for installation of Sun Solaris Operating system, then a Full Distribution installation of the Oracle 7.x Database, then the TPOCS application. I was also responsible for configuring network services for deployment to sites.

I was, generally, called upon for a wide variety of tasks. There was a network of roughly 35 servers including Pentium based systems running RedHat Linux, and SGI Indy's, SGI Origin 200's, and SGI Origin 2000's running IRIX - each with Apache web servers. I troubleshot this network, and also answered technical support questions via Email and Telephone. I also maintained the company website, and did various other website design, as needed. Finally, I was also called upon to do various programming tasks - mainly CGI's using C.
